The last few days have been extremely productive. Cecilia and I have been rolling out almost a chapter a day without sweat. On days like these I wish we had more time than we do to work on ours stories and spin our tales.
People have often asked us both how we do it, how we can write a story with a partner. The answer is simple: melding of minds. It might sound too much like a Star Trek-ish way of explaining things but I am not joking when I say that on most days it’s like we share one brain. Scary as it might sound, the fact is that we communicate our ideas the same way and we understand each other very well which in turn makes the stories flow fairly easily.
Working with someone who processes ideas at the same level you do is like having the perfect assembly line. One pops the idea on the conveyor belt and the other adds to said idea in a sequential manner using optimally planned logistics to create a finished product. That’s how we roll.
Yes, some days we let the conveyor belt stop rolling but then one or the other will kickstart it again. I just love being a part of such well oiled machine.
