There is many a day that Chris and I are on a fence juggling the fine line between what needs to get done and what we want to do.  The needs of our daily lives sometimes take precedence and push all other desires, mainly to write and work on our stories, to the background.

Unfortunately this happens way too often and becomes a black hole in our heads sucking all the creativity out of us.  I just came across music artist, Just Jack, and the lyrics of his song, Writer's Block, which sums it up in a nutshell.  Chris, my wonderful partner in crime, I am putting the first set of lyrics here for you. It is SO us:

"I get this writer's block, it comes as quite a shock,

And now I'm stuck between a hard place and the biggest rock,

In my own head consumed.  I sit back in my room,

Its like the tapestries of life get tangled in the loom,

I'm like a butterfly, caught in a hurricane,

My pulse is quickening as my heart plays a new refrain.

Sometimes at night I think too much,

About life and love and music and stuff."
