Cecilia and I have been frantically editing as well as writing this month. The reason? We finished Countermeasure but as any book, it needs editing, and because it's such a long novel (118K at this point--about 23 chapters to go) we need to be careful when tightening the story, rewriting scenes, cutting stuff out, etc, so not to lose the edge and the sexual tension we've built into the story.

We need to complete this task before we can jump back into To Russia With Love which promises to be as long (if not longer) and possibly more detailed since we are now adding the subplots and the secondary character stories to it.

Another big thing on our plate is NaNoWriMo. We took the challenge (separately--yes, we are nuts) to write a 50K words novel within 30 days. Again...it would be a piece of cake if we were writing together, in fact we have almost 40K combined in only 8 days, but this is 50K EACH, writing different stories, different characters, without much of the study, research and careful planning we put into our novels.

So, please know we are doing the very best we can to get all of the things on our task list while still maintaining a semblance of sanity around here. We hope to keep you updated of our adventures in the NaNo World as well as the progress of the books.

Sláinte!
